About the GM Broadway Dinner

The General McLane High School Broadway Dinner started in 1981 with only a few performers in the high school cafeteria by now-superintendent Richard Scaletta.

This yearly, anticipated Erie county event showcases the musical talents of almost 125 students in a variety of Broadway numbers all over a full course meal.

The annual event has now produced 125 performances to more than 32,000 people over the last 39 years.

– There are as many Broadway tunes used in the dinner to equal 3 full Broadway Productions.
– There are more costume changes in our Broadway Dinner as there are in “The Lion King” x 2, and they have the most changes of any show currently running!
– There are more cast members than in Wicked, Mary Poppins, Pippin, and Matilda combined.
– There are more mic changes than Cinderella, Les Mis, and The Phantom of the Opera combined!

General public sales begin Monday February 24, 2020 at 7:30 a.m. in the General McLane High School Office. Reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. No reservations will be accepted without payment for the reservations.

Tickets are $45 for Director Circle seating, $40 for regular seating and $15 for Bleacher Seating. Bleacher seats are available for all students and adults who have purchased a dinner ticket for a different performance and available only at the door the night of the performance. Bleacher seating does not include a meal.

The General Public can purchase seats by coming in to the General McLane High School main office or by mailing the order in (the order form will be available on Feb. 21.) *Mailing is not advised since the seats sell out quickly*.

Also new in 2020

The theater department is running a raffle for a $2500 gift certificate from Bathfitters for credit toward a bathtub or shower redo.

Tickets for this raffle with be $10 and are available now through any theater student or teacher. They will also be sold during the dinner, as well. The winner will be drawn on Sunday, March 29 toward the end of the Broadway Dinner performance.
