Free Wi-Fi/Data options offered due to COVID-19 shutdown

Armstrong Cable: 

  • Public hot spots for those in need of internet connection for school work. Locations can be found here.
  • Relaxed data allowance policy to ensure all residential Internet customers have unlimited data allowances and won’t have to worry about overage charges
  • Increased the download speed of Zoom to 150 Mbsp and temporarily increased the speed of Zoom Express to (up to) 25 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload
  • Relaxed policy on delinquent accounts. More info on that is available here.

For GM Student iPad Connectivity Errors at Home

When you are at home:

  1. On your iPad – go to settings > wifi >
    • Find the listing for the name of your home network in the list on the right hand side
    • Click the blue “I” next to the name of your home network
    • Select “forget this network”, and click forget in the dialog box that opens
  2. Hold the power button and the home button on the iPad, until you see the Apple logo
  3. After the iPad restarts:
    • Go back to settings > wifi >
    • Find the name of your home network in the list on the right hand of the screen
    • Choose your home network, and connect with your home network password
  4. Test your connection by loading a few websites like ,, etc.
  5. Test your Schoology app
