Description: The H.G. Gillespie Foundation provides financial assistance to General McLane School District graduates who have attained at least third year standing in post secondary educational institutions.  To be eligible, a GM graduate must have obtained third year standing at a post-secondary institution by June 1, 2018. Second year students that anticipate third year standing by June 1st should apply. GM graduates that have been awarded the H.G. Gillespie scholarship in previous years are not eligible. Awards will reflect primarily the applicants’ character, citizenship, and probable contributions to the futures of their communities. Race, gender, religious convictions, and quality of academic achievement will not serve as criteria for awards.

 

Lincoln Daniel Bufalino Memorial Scholarship

DescriptionThe Lincoln Daniel Bufalino Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship that was established July 2010 in Lincoln Bufalino’s memory. Lincoln was a person who was loved by all who encountered him.  Lincoln was not only an outstanding athlete, but he also possessed exceptional leadership qualities and a far beyond driven work ethic when it came to teaching children with special needs. The Lincoln Daniel Bufalino Memorial Scholarship is for any General McLane High School senior (male or female) who has a love of sports (not necessarily pursuing college athletics) and a desire to continue their college studies in the field of education.
