General McLane School District

Lancer

Welcome to Edinboro Elementary School – one of the best elementary schools in Erie County, Pennsylvania! Our school consists of kindergarten through fourth grade, with approximately 400 students and 50 professional and support staff. Our school is open weekdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm. During the school year, students can enter the school beginning at 8:50am, with instruction beginning at 9:10am. Students are dismissed at 3:30pm.

At Edinboro Elementary, you’ll find an exceptional group of teachers and staff devoted to creating and maintaining a positive, engaging, and caring environment for students. Our teachers emphasize high expectations through our standards-aligned curriculum, ultimately allowing them to develop a wide array of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Edinboro Elementary utilizes a school-wide positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) model known as “Little LANCER.” As part of this program, we expect our students to follow six expectations in all areas of the school, at home, and in the community: Listener, Accountable, Neighborly, Committed, Empathetic, and Respectful.

Our goal for students is that through demonstrating these schoolwide LANCER expectations, they will be problem solvers, independent, and resilient, empowering them to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners.

Our responsibilities are vast, but the partnership between home and school is critical in allowing each child to have a successful school career. Edinboro Elementary has a strong tradition of working with parents and community members to create meaningful experiences for our students. Please reach out to the school should you have any questions at any time or if you would like to schedule a time to visit our school
