Superintendent
It is a complicated world in which we live.
We know that one of the keys to working through the complications is a quality education.
At General McLane, we take pride in the education that we provide. Our dedicated professional staff is committed to “meeting students where they are to empower them to become all they are capable of being.” These words I’ve quoted make up the district’s new mission statement, developed after a year of interviews and discussions.
During the 2010-2011 school year, a team of district leaders and community members spent the year defining our mission statement and our core values. We now have a clear vision of what we hold dear and we know where we need to go as an organization. This year, we begin the journey of making the district stronger and more effective. Your children will be the beneficiaries.
As we enter into this new school year, know that a capable team of professionals stand ready to assist you and your children in the quest for the knowledge and skills that will help unravel the complications of this world. Best wishes for a prosperous 2011-2012 school year.
Sincerely,
Richard Scaletta
